Shamrock Acres Sioux-Z-Q (Suzy)

Suzy is now retired as the foundation for our kennel and Jack’s favorite Lab companion. We acquired Suzy from the late Sally McCarthy and her storied Shamrock Acres Kennel where dual champions and all-purpose Labrador Retrievers have been the trademark for decades. Suzy combines the good looks, retrieving enthusiasm, and friendly personality that are the reasons Labrador Retrievers are the #1 breed in the world.

Sioux River’s Alice (Allie)

Allie is a Drake x Suzy daughter with an amazing friendliness and eager-to-please personality.. She never disappoints in training sessions - being a quick study, approaching every task with enthusiasm and drive, and yet settles right into quiet family routines when “off the clock.”

Candlewood’s Siouxperman (Drake)

Drake is a big, stylish, driven marking and retrieving dynamo with a Who’s Who pedigree of Field Champions out of Candlewood Kennels. He is co-owned with Jeff Foster in Indiana and is a giant teddy bear of a lap dog around his family. His primary duties are as a training diversion to Jeff’s reining horse stable operations (Jeff Foster Performance Horses) and occasional hunting companion. Available at stud.

Reference Sire

BISS CH Kenya Injun Joe CGCA (Joe)

Thank you to Chris Valdez of Kenya Labradors for making it possible to use this outstanding Champion with Suzy to make some beautiful dark chocolate babies that are loved by their owners and the talk of their neighborhoods. Joe is a happy, super friendly dog who loves people and loves to retrieve who is also calm and steady - the ideal Labrador personality. We have retained two daughters from these litters - Sioux Rivers Okie Sioux and Sioux Rivers Belle of the Ball - who are shaping up to be great future mamas of puppies that can show and perform competitively and be the best kind of companion dogs for their families..

Yellow Rose’s Tiramisioux (Tira)

A Texas sized Thank You to Kay Scott of Yellow Rose Labradors for allowing us to bring Tira to our home in Northwest Iowa! Tira is sired by MBISS GCH Maidstone Edlyn Jolly Roger That, JH, CGC, TKN (MIke) and out of Kay’s nicely balanced and field-skilled Yellow Rose's Little Sure Shot Annie Oakley, JH (Annie). This is a babydoll puppy - well-mannered from day one, quiet in the house, and plays well with all the other dogs. We recently put her on her first pigeon and she was all over it - making fast retrieves, coming back with eagerness, and finishing with a soft presentation to hand. She really woke us up to her being more than just a pretty face! Excitement is brewing!

Reference Sire

GCH CH UKC CH Deep Run Good Time Charley SH (Charley)

Charley is a handsome 80 pound yellow Labrador Retriever with proven show and hunt test lines. He is friendly and lots of fun. He loves to retrieve on land and water and is ready for any adventure. Charley is an example of Classic Labrador Type in conformation and movement. His gait and style demonstrate his proper structure, coupled with the energy and demeanor that make him a proud and confident exhibitor. Thanks to Phyllis Giroux of Deep Run Farm Hunting Retrievers for making Charley available to Suzy to produce stylish puppies with the attitude and athleticism required of dogs that are equally capable as companions in the home as they are competitive performers! Ideal Black Labs from this litter.

Rooster’s Iron Lady of Sioux River (Maggie)

Maggie’s mom is Anna Grace of Sioux River - a line-bred Mason sweetheart from our first breeding of Suzy to BISS CH Kenya Injun Joe - and her sire is Bronze GCH Rebellion's Key To Erebor From Bella Notte, CD, SH, WC (Thorin). This puppy is a little spitfire - adventuresome, confident, and very birdy. She has beautiful conformation as a classic Labrador Retriever and we are looking forward to seeing her develop into a dual threat in the show ring and on the hunt test grounds.

Prospect

Sioux River’s Little Dickens (Chuck)

Chuck is sired by GCH Deep Run Good Time Charley, SH and out of our Shamrock Acres Sioux-Z-Q. Currently in hunt test training with Chuck Hutchason in Newell, SD, we are very excited about his prospects as a model Lab - fitting the breed’s conformation standard while also possessing the marking ability and retrieving drive required of a skilled field dog. The future looks bright for this happy, friendly, and eye-catching boy. Carries chocolate and yellow.
